This page explains how Aerobic Septic Owner is funded and what that does, and does not, change about what you read here. It sits alongside our Editorial Policy.
We are independent
Aerobic Septic Owner is not owned by, paid by, or affiliated with any septic installer, maintenance company, inspector, or equipment manufacturer. No company has a say in which topics we cover or what we conclude.
How the site is funded
- Advertising served by third-party networks, including Google AdSense.
- Affiliate links, where we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Where an article contains one, it is disclosed in that article.
- Sponsored content, if we publish it in future, clearly labeled as sponsored. Nothing paid is ever presented as an independent recommendation.
What advertising does not do
Advertisers and affiliate partners have no input into our conclusions, our choice of sources, or our safety guidance. No company can pay to be recommended, to be reviewed favorably, or to be removed from a comparison. If an advertiser’s product is a poor fit for a reader’s situation, we say so.
Products we will not promote
We do not earn a commission on, or promote, products whose misuse creates a safety hazard for homeowners. In particular, we will not recommend a disinfection product that is not labeled for on-site wastewater use, and we will not link to pool chlorine tablets for use in a septic chlorinator.
Cookies and advertising data
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can manage your choices through the consent controls on this site and through Google’s Ads Settings. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
