I review relevant messages and check proposed corrections against the best available source before updating published guidance. I may not be able to answer every message individually, but useful corrections are taken seriously.
What I cannot provide by email
I cannot diagnose an individual septic system, interpret a private inspection remotely, select a contractor for you, or give legal, engineering, or emergency advice. Please do not send passwords, payment information, medical information, or other sensitive personal records.
Urgent system problems
If sewage is backing up, wastewater is surfacing, a tank opening is unsecured, or electrical equipment is wet or damaged, keep people and pets away from the area and contact a qualified local septic professional, electrician where appropriate, or the relevant local authority. For an immediate threat to life or safety, contact emergency services.
